What is a reflector?
A reflector decreases, by ten times, the risk of pedestrians’ accidents in the dark. A reflector is an object that powerfully reflects light and can be fixed on garment or equipment. With a reflector, a pedestrian is noticed much earlier in the dark. This additional time gives car drivers a better possibility to react and avoid possible collisions.
There is a saying that a reflector is the world’s least expensive life insurance. It costs only a couple of Euros and it can save the quality of the rest of your lives.
In Finland, 80% of the pedestrians killed in accidents between 2006 and 2010, did not use a reflector.
